You can also choose “Send feedback…” in the CalenBar menu. It opens an email with your app and macOS version already filled in.

I installed CalenBar. Where is it?

CalenBar lives only in the menu bar, at the top right of your screen. It has no Dock icon and no window. Look for the name of your current or next event, or a small calendar icon when nothing is scheduled. If your menu bar is crowded, macOS may hide it behind the notch; quit a few other menu bar apps to make room.

Why does it ask for full calendar access?

macOS offers only two levels of calendar access, and “full access” is the one that lets an app read events. CalenBar needs to read them to show them. It never creates, changes or deletes events, and nothing it reads leaves your Mac. See the privacy policy.

I denied access by mistake

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars and turn on CalenBar.

How do I add my Google or Outlook calendar?

CalenBar shows the calendars your Mac already knows about, the same ones you see in Apple’s Calendar app. To add an account, open System Settings → Internet Accounts, add it, and turn on Calendars. It appears in CalenBar a moment later.

How do I hide a calendar?

Open the CalenBar menu, choose Settings…, then Calendars, and turn off the ones you don’t want to see.

Why is there no Join button on my event?

CalenBar looks for a meeting link in the event’s URL, location and notes. If the link is somewhere else, or belongs to a service it doesn’t know, no button appears. It recognizes 22 services:

Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Slack, Discord, FaceTime, Skype, Jitsi, Whereby, GoToMeeting, RingCentral, Amazon Chime, Around, Gather, Lifesize, Livestorm, Luma, Pop, StarLeaf, Vonage and Zoho Meeting.

Private mode didn’t turn on when I shared my screen

Detecting screen sharing doesn’t work with every app. If privacy matters, set Private mode to Always in Settings → General.
